San Diego Lantern Festival (Friday-Sunday 5PM-10PM) Back again this year this event will consist of cultural entertainment, lion dances, street performers, and a breathtaking display of 6,000 lanterns. As you check out the lanterns, visit some of the vendors or get a bite to eat. There will over 12 large carnival rides and games. Tickets are only $5 Adult and $4 Child! Get your ticket HERE now!

Under the Influence of Music Tour (Friday 6PM) Wiz Khalifa, A$AP Rocky, and B.o.B. will share the stage tonight at Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Chula Vista. You can still get tickets HERE, but hurry before you run out of time!

Passage to Bollywood (Friday 6:30PM-9:30PM) the Triangle of Learning (indiaRise.org, u-touch.org, roomtoread.org) is putting on this fundraiser to try to build a high school to provide rural children in a small South Indian village with an access to opportunity and independence. There is a lot to do at this event including a Fashion Show, DJ and Live Band, Stand-up Comedy, Dinner, Silent Auction, Live Auction and Raffles, and you can even learn how to dance the Bollywood Way. The B-52s (Friday 7PM) If you are headed to the Del Mar races then stick around after the last race as The B-52’s are kicking off the Del Mar Summer Concert Series. Performances are free with paid racetrack admission ($6 for Stretch Run and $10 for Clubhouse) when purchased before the last race. Admission is $20 for concert-only access following the start of the last race. So if you were thinking of heading off to the races tonight make sure to get your tickets HERE.

2013 Revolt Summer Surf Series (Saturday 8AM-6PM) What perfect timing! With perfect beach weather this weekend, the 7th annual surf competition is happening! The annual Pro Am surfing competition attracts shortboarders, longboarders and stand up paddle surfers of all ages & skillsets, from around the world, to perform in their sport of choice and be recognized for their achievements. There is more to do then just watch the competition like a ‘Green’ beach fair, surfboard demo’s, live DJ’s, special celebrity appearances, raffles, giveaways & beach games, that add to the family friendly, festival atmosphere. Fiesta Del Sol San Diego 2013 (Saturday-Sunday 11AM-7PM) The 8th Annual Fiesta del Sol is here celebrating the history of the people of San Diego. Bring the whole family out to this alcohol- and tobacco-free event focused on creating positive change by empowering communities. There is something for everyone in the family with entertainment stages, a multi-cultural food court, four community pavilions, and over one hundred booths sponsored by local small businesses, non-profit organizations, and corporate partners. Trash To Art (Saturday 12:30PM-2:30PM) With the growing amounts of trash left on our beaches bring the family to the Rancho Penasquitos Library and join New Ocean Blue and the Wyland Foundation in making trash found around San Diego beaches into art. ‘Sweet Summer’ Series: Turbo (Saturday-Sunday 1PM-5PM) Turbo comes out today and ArcLight will be showing it during their Sweet Summer, a season-long family party with games, photos, treats, and more. Check out their WEBSITE for times and more information.

Slightly Stoopid and Atmosphere (Saturday 6:30PM) Slightly Stoopid and Atmosphere will be at Sleep Train Ampetheater for their Kickin’ Up Dust Summer Tour. You can get your tickets at TICKETMASTER now!

Especially for Families: ARTie Party (Sunday 12PM) The San Diego Museum of Art has a new mascot ARTie! Come celebrate the birthday of the Museum with the kids and enjoy the birthday celebration filled with fun and crafts! Get all the information HERE.

Family Fun Day and Jockey Photo Day (Sunday 12PM) If you’ve wanted to go to the races but don’t want to bring the kids then this event might be just what you are looking for! Every Sunday is Family day at the Races, but this is a Supersized Sunday Funday!
