YouTube’s April Fools’ Music Prank Will Blow Your Mind

YouTube comments are practically the scourge of the earth, as can be replies on 4chan—but you already knew that. That doesn’t mean, however, something good can’t come of them. Like on April Fools’ Day, for instance.

The video hosting site took full advantage of the comments section today (April 1) with a very subtle but noticeable alteration to its search page, if you’re looking for a specific song.

Let’s say, for instance, you’re looking for the new music video for Nick Jonas’ “Chains,” a new version of which was released today. We all need a little bit of Best Jonas Brother in our lives, so it’s completely understandable.

And yeah, you’ll get that video, no problem. But as we all know, YouTube will give you suggestions based on your search, in case you were actually thinking of something else. “Did you mean _____?” it asks, knowingly.

And today, it knows exactly what you actually want.

What song is this?
