Beyoncé, Pearl Jam, Coldplay Ed Sheeran are all playing the upcoming Global Citizen Festival, and now that already enviable roster has been beefed up with a few more: received reinforced their ranks, with the announcement of more Citizen performers, including Usher, Common, Tori Kelly, Laverne Cox, and more.
The day of music and entertainment is designed to bring attention to the mission of ending extreme poverty by 2030. It now includes the aforementioned artists as well as support from Katie Holmes, Connie Britton and Sunidhi Chauhan.
The show will take place on New York’s Great Lawn in Central Park, Sept. 26. It will air live on MSNBC, and stream live on YouTube.
