Danish singer MØ had a major U.S. hit this year with “Lean On,” her collaboration with Major Lazer and DJ Snake. She put the international flavor of her following on display in Oslo when she performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert this weekend.
The Norwegian Radio Orchestra joined her for renditions of “Lean On” and “New Year’s Eve.” This year’s Peace Prize honorees were members of The Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet.
In a recent Radio.com interview, MØ expressed gratitude for the track that put her on the map:
“I’m so thankful and so happy for that song and for Diplo and Major Lazer for trusting me and taking me with them on that adventure,” she said. “It’s hard to describe. Again, it was not forced: ‘Oh, this has to be a big hit; this has to be like this and this and this.’ We just made a song and thought it was cool and nice.”
