Today is the day.
The highly-anticipated day that is July 29th has finally arrived, which means the release of DJ Khaled’s Major Key is upon us and Khaled gave us another taste of what his album is all about yesterday when he shared the latest song from Major Key called “Do You Mind,” and it’s a massive collaboration that features verses from Future, Jeremih, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, August Alsina, and Rick Ross.
The sultry bedroom song flips Lil Jon’s 2005 gem “Lovers & Friends,” which comes across in a romantic piano that crosses with a strong beat. Nicki kicks things off in this star-studded affair with a verse that was filled with very interesting details of her relationship with Meek Mill. After that, Chris Brown holds it down with the melodic chorus as August Alsina and Jeremih link up for a verse, while Future and Rick Ross deliver some rhymes in another. Finally, Nicki comes back around to sing for the track’s finale.
On top of that, he also released “Forgive Me Father” with Meghan Trainor, Wiz Khalifa and Wale that features Meghan serenading us beautifully in the chorus as Wiz Khalifa delivers a solid first verse, which is then followed up by Wale, who once again kills it!
Over the last few months, Khaled has also shared “Holy Key,” a team-up with Kendrick Lamar, Betty Wright, and Big Sean, “I Got the Keys,” his collaboration with Future and Jay Z, and “For Free,” a song with Drake. YG, Meghan Trainor, Gucci Mane, J.Cole, Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, and more are set to appear on Major Key.
