Snapchat found themselves under fire Tuesday, with the release of a new filter that had some crying yellow face!
The filter has since been removed.

Snapchat promoted the filter as anime inspired, but users weren’t buying it, calling the Asian caricature racist and offensive.

Unfortunately, this isn’t Snapchat’s first racist rodeo, earlier this year backlash against their Bob Marley filter also reared heads.

Maybe they should stick to puppy dogs and flower crowns, or maybe they need to hire a consultant in cultural sensitivity.
