Usher contributes the track “Wait For It” while Nas, Dave East and Aloe Blacc spearhead the track “Wrote My Way Out” with Lin-Manuel Miranda appearing as a feature and contributing vocals to the background. “Wait For It” is an updated, contemporary cover of the song originally performed by Leslie Odom, Jr., but Nas’s track is inspired by Hamilton’s message and details the power of the written word.

Nas says at the end of the track, “But really I saw a hole in the rap game, so if I wanted to put my little two cents in the game then it would be from a different perspective. I thought that I would represent for my neighborhood and tell their story, be their voice in the way that nobody has done it. Tell a good story”

Even though the first mixtape hasn’t dropped yet, Lin-Manuel Miranda already promised that there would be a second volume to come. With these two additions appearing today, fans of the Broadway musical get a larger idea of what’s to come when the mixtape and all its interpretations drop December 2nd.
