Dunkin Donuts opened their first free-standing store in San Diego county today, in National City, and people were out in force!

The early  morning opening hour of 4 a.m. didn’t stop a crowd from forming. People began lining up around 8:30 p.m. LAST NIGHT, NBC 7 reports. Yes, they camped out for donuts. People in the 24-hour drive through told reporters they had been waiting anywhere between 30 min. and two hours to satisfy their Dunkin’ Donuts craving. At one point the drive through live was more than 100 cars deep.

The new donut shop is at 2139 East Plaza Boulevard, just off Interstate 805

So, if you are a Dunkin’ Donuts fanatic, and you are planning on stopping by there today, be prepared to wait for your sugary bounty!
